MORTABOND Classic Tile Adhesive is a cement based thin bed bonding adhesive with high UV resistance using selected mineral stone as filler. Suitable for fixing of all types of ceramic, mosaic, granite tiles, etc. to concrete walls and floors, both interior and exterior, good for new and old structure.
Surface preparation is important for good adhesion. It suitable for laying wall and floor tiles as long as the substrate must be structurally sound flat surfaces clean, free from oil, dirt and other contaminants. For best results, wash down with clean water thouroughly before application.
Mix approximately 5.5 liters of clean water to 25kgs. of Mortabond Classic Tile Adhesive in a suitable container until it becomes smooth tacky paste free from lump subsistence. Allow the mixture to stand for 3-5 minutes, then re stir before using. Refrain from adding more water to mix which has already began to set. Adding more water might weaken the properties of products.
Apply Mortabond Classic Tile Adhesive as screed by laying adhesive using ribbed side of the notched trowel unto the flat substrate. Allow the tiling to set firm by moving the tile back and forth to let the adhesive cover entire back bed of the tile to avoid pedestrian traffic may be allowed the following day.
Tiles must be fixed dry, do not soak.Tile must be pressed and squeezed into position before the adhesive dries. The tiles can be adjusted within a period of 15mins., no voids must occur on back bed of tile. Avoid any unfilled portion back bed of tile during installations to avoid cracking of tiles when use.

Use clean water for hands and tools, while the surface of the tile should be cleaned with a damp cloth or sponge.
Approximately 25 kgs. of Mortabond Classic Tile Adhesive can fix 7-8 sq. m. of ceramic tile depending on the condition of the concrete substrate.

It is recommended to use gloves and eye protection. Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged contact with skin. If eye contact occurs, flush in clean water and consult a physician if required.
